A collection of stuff on various topics, mostly Jmusic, some video games and the odd historical thing. I sometimes post ranty thoghts, usually spur of the moment thought waves past midnight that are too ranty for my blog.

Post

Just had my last exam, everybody else is BUSY. WHYY.

Sat home alone, drinking and playing the Adventures of Alundra. Perfect afternoon in. Thankfully, it’s cloudy today, so I don’t feel like a loser.

If Americans who wish they were Japanese are called weeaboos, what are Japanese people that want to be Americans called?

Junpei Iori

lolololol this is all I will think of now in my exam.

Gone is the knowledge of Italian Unifaction.

Replace with stupid jokes.

Life…oh life. Video games do you make you fail life, you know?

IGOR WITH BOOBS + KODA KUMI.

Disturbing, but fandom collide.

Does this make it purgatory?

DETECTIVE NANAKO.

DETECTIVE NANAKO.
My favourite episode in the anime was the Nanako detective episodes because, like Kanji, I LOVE CUTE SHIT.

I used to always dislike her. Then I realised, she is one of the few female protagonists who is witty, daring, a bit of a bitch, but in a totally believable way though. She knows how to press people’s buttons. Maybe it’s age. Maybe they made her more human than they intended to, but in a totally different way to what they imagined.
I think the defining moment for me is when Cloud and Tifa are discussing the plan from the reactor. Aeris covers her ears, appearing as if she isn’t listening, but she looks round… because she obviously is. I’m always like, YOU GET THAT GOSS GIRL.
Plus, making her pure and motherly totally, completely and utterly ruins the virgin/whore thing with Tifa and Aeris. Tifa is the motherly one, she cares about Cloud and sees herself as his protector, but looks like the temptress. Aeris is the one who is witty, uses her charm and pushes the male characters about, but has obviously fallen into the innocent category. Squaaaaare, whhhhhhyyy.
…still chilling in the Cloud and Tifa camp though. SORRY THAT YOU DIED AERIS :’)

Flawless.
Best romance. Best plot. Best everything. ;___; I just love ~romances that aren’t meant to be~
I love how… they don’t become defined by each other. They just… grow, they understand, they compliment.
AND HOW THE ROMANCE WASN’T SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT EVERY FIVE MINUTES. It was there, later in the game, but it wasn’t focal. THANK YOU SQUARE.

…and not because Final Fantasy needs to GET WITH THE FUCKING TIMES?
Oh, kay. Just so you can have canon fangirl porn. I see.
Would totally prefer a female couple though.
I have so many problems with this statement, even if I would like to see the same things in the franchise.

While I disagree with the point, I am reblogging for the sheer giggles the wording gave me.
Balthier was my favourite, but FFXII needed a protagonist that was observant, unaware of the history, and simply a tool for the player to observe how the world was unravelling and falling apart.
