i see it now but even so to have a slight bit of doubt that he raped someone is just so..non-fan like…Every DEAR knows his personality to say :NO! He didn’t do it and never would! But i guess that’s just a few of us who stood by his side…
and yes he is popular enough to warrant that these rumors are false..like he did so many times before.
Being a fan of somebody doesn’t mean you can ignore their flaws, it doesn’t mean you have to deny their mistakes.
In a situation, if an individual you are a fan of has potentially committed a criminal offence, you can legitimately be a fan and believe they committed that crime. if somebody doubts somebody it doesn’t not make them a fan. It makes them rational and willing to let the facts play out.
It annoys me to no end when people say “x couldn’t have done this, they’re not like that!!”.
No. They could be. You don’t know. Even the most down to earth, open celebrities still have a massive divide between their personal self and their public persona.
I also find the “he’s not like that!” approach for Gackt rather amusing, as in the Jpop fandom anyway, he’s as famous for his sexist views as his music and image.
